CWF®-UV5 Premium Penetrating Wood Finish
Premium wood finish and wood sealer formulated to protect against UV rays and water damage

CWF-UV5 is a premium oil-based exterior wood finish that protects, waterproofs and beautifies exterior wood. CWF-UV5 wood sealer is specially formulated to guard exterior wood finish from its two biggest enemies – water and sun. CWF-UV5 is fortified with Flood's exclusive Penetrol® which deeply enriches the wood with superior penetration providing maximum protection. CWF-UV5 also contains transparent iron oxides to effectively absorb and block the harmful rays of the sun.

Where to Use
• Wood decks, wood siding, wood fences, wood shakes, wood shingles, outdoor furniture, and wood playsets.
• Pressure-treated Pine, Cedar and Redwood that have weathered for one year.
• For new wood finish, use Flood® New Wood Defender™ immediately, and then use CWF-UV5 the following year.
• Do not use CWF-UV5 wood sealer on hardboard or plywood or over previously stained, varnished or painted wood.
• Application to T1-11 will require more frequent recoat cycles.
• FOR EXTERIOR USE ONLY. Do not use indoors or in screened-in or enclosed areas.

Wood Protection Preparation
• Proper surface protection is essential for Flood’s Limited Warranty to apply.
• Surfaces must be thoroughly clean, dry and free of dirt, mildew and previous coatings.
• Remove mildew with a solution of one part household bleach to four parts water.
• Clean weathered wood with Flood® Dekswood® Deck Cleaner and Brightener.
• Remove old finishes with Flood Powerlift® Deck Sealer Remover or Flood StainStrip® Exterior Stain Stripper.
• Allow 2-3 days dry time after cleaning before applying Flood CWF-UV5.

Wood Protection Application
• CWF-UV5 can be applied with a nylon or polyester brush, hand or power roller (3/4 inch synthetic nap cover), stain brush, airless sprayer (.017-.021 fluid tip at 1500-1800 psi).
• Apply between 50-80° F. Do not apply in hot sunlight.
• Do not apply if rain or temperatures below 50° F are expected within 48 hours.
• Stir product thoroughly before and periodically during application.
• In most cases, one coat of CWF-UV5 is sufficient.
• For porous or older wood, if the first coat absorbs immediately, apply a second coat as a wet-on-wet application. DO NOT APPLY A SECOND COAT IF THE FIRST COAT HAS DRIED FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES.
• If finish is sprayed, always backbrush or backroll to improve penetration and uniformity of coverage.

Wood Protection Dry Time
• 24-48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.

Wood Protection Clean Up
• Clean with soap and water.
• If CWF-UV5 is allowed to dry on tools, remove with paint remover.
• DANGER – Rags, steel wool or waste soaked with this product may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place rags, steel wool or waste in a sealed, water-filled metal container.
