Recommended Uses:
Cabot Semi-Solid Acrylic Stains are richly pigmented, penetrating, 100% acrylic resin-based stains that are unique to Cabot. They provide greater hiding power and color than semi-transparent stains, yet their attractive flat finish highlights the natural beauty of the wood’s texture. These stains are environmentally friendly, and equipment is easily cleaned with soap and water. Cabot Semi-Solid Acrylic Stains provide long-lasting, vapor -permeable protection that beautifies and enriches exterior wood surfaces. Containing a special acrylic resin, these products are ideal for all types of natural wood siding and shingles. Exceptional ultra-violet protection is achieved through the use of non-fade, earth-tone pigments, in addition to the superior acrylic resin. Semi-Solid Acrylic Stains are formulated to weather slowly over time – without cracking, peeling or blistering. Cabot Semi-Solid Acrylic Stains are for application on new or properly reconditioned wood, including siding, shingles, shakes, fences, roofs and log homes. These beautiful stains provide outstanding results on all natural wood species such as cedar, redwood, fir, pine, spruce and cypress, including pressure-treated wood and plywood panel siding. These stains may also be applied to new, unprimed fiber cement siding.

Composition:
Deep-penetrating, richly pigmented stains based on 100% acrylic resin.

Finish:
Dries to a natural, flat finish.

Coverage:
On smooth surfaces, approximately 200-300 square feet per gallon (4.9-7.4
square meters/liter); on rough surfaces, 100-200 square feet per gallon (2.5-4.9 square meters/liter). These rates will vary depending upon the porosity of the surface.

Restrictions:
DO NOT INTERMIX WITH CABOT OIL-BASED PRODUCTS. Do not apply in direct sunlight, to hot surfaces, or when air or surface temperature is below 50°F. Do not apply over wet or damp surfaces or when rain is imminent. Do not thin or combine with any other water-based products. Do not use steel wool on wood that is to be coated with these products. Do not apply over previously painted or sealed surfaces. Cure new stucco and masonry products a minimum of 30 days before applying this product. This product is not recommended for decks or interior surfaces. For exterior use only. Protect stored containers from freezing.
