DESCRIPTION
ZAR Paint and Varnish Remover is a non-flammable, semi-paste paint and varnish remover that quickly removes all conventional finishes, including polyurethanes, from a variety of surfaces. The product requires no solvents or neutralizers after removal. Its heavy consistency permits excellent cutting action on vertical surfaces. ZAR Paint and Varnish Remover is harmless to wood, plaster, metal and glass surfaces and nylon or natural bristle brushes.

APPLICATION
Remove cap with caution to release possible pressure. Replace cap and shake well before using.
Pour directly from can onto surface or pour needed amount into a metal container. Using a brush, apply heavy coat in one direction with a minimum of pressure - do not brush out. Let finish soften (approximately 5-30 minutes) until bare surface can be exposed by gentle scraping.
If a second coat is required, apply over first coat. Remove softened film with scraper. The removal of the softened film on curved or uneven surfaces is made easier by using steel wood or an old toothbrush.
Allow surface to dry overnight before refinishing. With certain woods such as birch or fir, a light sanding is helpful prior to applying a finish, especially if a clear top coat will be used.

LIMITATION
Do not allow ZAR Remover to come in contact with linoleum, asphalt, rubber tile, fiberglass or plastics.
ZAR Paint and Varnish Remover contains Methylene Chloride. If possible, use this product outdoors. If you must use it indoors, open all windows and doors or use other means to assure fresh air movement during application and drying. Read label carefully before using.
