MODERN
MASTERS® TINTABLE GLAZE (SCUMBLE) is a professional grade, 100%
acrylic, non-yellowing, water base, clear medium. It is perfect for
creating faux finishes (marbling, wood graining, exotic mineral, etc.)
on furniture, cabinetry, decorative moldings, and other non-porous surfaces.
        SURFACE
          PREPARATION:
Tintable Glaze should be applied over a previously painted and fully
cured, semi-gloss latexsurface. The surface should be clean and sound.
        TINTING:
Tintable Glaze should be tinted using standard universal colorants.
NOTE: Do not mix or tint the glaze with paint. (When using paint, instead
          use Modern
Masters® Extender for Latex Paint, DP-607.) Doing so may drastically
accelerate the drying time and/or increase the opacity of the glaze.
        APPLICATION:
The thicker the Tintable Glaze is applied, the longer it will stay “open”
and workable. Generally the glaze will stay “open” for one
hour, depending on color concentration, film thickness, and humidity.
The cooler and more humid the air, the longer the glaze will stay wet
or “open”. When working in hot, dry climates, or when more
“open” time is desired, add Modern Masters® Extender
          to the Tintable Glaze.
        Dry
          Time:
The colored glaze will dry to an eggshell sheen in approximately 3 hours
and fully cure in approximately 36 hours.
        Protection:
Do not clean an unprotected glazed surface with harsh chemicals. Surfaces
that will be handled or regularly cleaned should be protected with two
coats of Modern Masters® Dead Flat or Satin Varnish. Follow the
instructions on the Varnish container label.
        Coverage:
Approximately 150 to 200 square feet per quart (14 to 18 square meters
          per 946ml).
        Clean
          Up:
Clean tools, brushes, and equipment with warm, soapy water immediately
after use. Promptly wipe up spills and splatters with a damp cloth.
