          Uses:
Cabot® Problem-Solver® Acrylic Primer is an acrylic-based, exterior
primer that is uniquely formulated to provide resistance to extractive
bleeding, stains from mildew and moisture problems. Its acrylic formula
remains flexible, resisting cracking, peeling or blistering. This premium
quality primer makes an ideal base coat for Cabot O.V.T.® Solid
Color Acrylic Stains as well as other solid color acrylic latex stains
and paints. It provides excellent adhesion on newly erected, smooth,
shiny (mill glaze) siding and lumber, thereby eliminating the need to
weather or season new, smooth wood for long periods of time. Cabot Problem-Solver
Acrylic Primer is easy to apply, easy to clean up and dries quickly.
It is recommended for use on new or previously stained surfaces including
wood siding, trim, shingles, plywood, manufactured hardboard, engineered
wood products, cured stucco, masonry, brick, asbestos siding, cementitious
siding and smooth or rough-sawn surfaces. It is suitable for use on
woods such as incense cedar, red cedar, fir, pine, cypress, spruce and
          redwood.
        Composition:
          Richly pigmented, acrylic copolymer.
        Coverage:
On smooth surfaces, approximately 250-350 square feet per gallon; on
rough surfaces, 150-250 square feet per gallon. These rates will vary
depending upon the porosity of the surface.
        Restrictions:
Cabot Problem-Solver Acrylic Primer may not fully prevent all extractive
bleeding. In woods with high levels of tannic acid, we recommend the
use of Cabot Problem-Solver Oil Primer. Knots should be sealed with
a high quality knot sealer. Do not thin this product. Oil-based products
are not recommended over this primer. Not intended for interior surfaces.
          For exterior use only.
